And now for something completely different.

Yes, that is a POUND of cheese powder.  I stare!  Stare stare!

moominmolly: A POUND: http://www.clickbird.com/catalog/?Item=B00016LZT8&Mode=GourmetFood
moominmolly: For $5. And it's orange.

ladytabitha: Holy shit.

moominmolly: "Spray dried cheddar cheese". Mmm!

ladytabitha: *stare*

moominmolly: Nothin' says good like spray-dried!

ladytabitha: Dude, I say we order that.
ladytabitha: It's a pound!  For $5!

moominmolly: Excellent.
moominmolly: I know! We could ...
moominmolly: We could make CHEESE BALLOONS!
moominmolly: This is not a good plan.

ladytabitha: *chokes; laughs*

moominmolly: IT WILL RAIN CHEESE!

ladytabitha: "My, the fog is pretty toniOH MY GOD THAT'S CHEESE"

moominmolly: *laughing*

ladytabitha: Cheese water!  Cheese baths!  CHEESE BEER!
ladytabitha: *dyin'*

moominmolly: "Oh, honey! You painted the steps! ... Uh, with CHEESE."
moominmolly: Cheeseade!

ladytabitha: No no - compress the cheese, and make cheese pencils!

moominmolly: Cheese, um, cake!

ladytabitha: Cheese paper?  "Here's my resume, and it's nutritious, too!"

moominmolly: "So, 'blue or black ink only' -- that means no cheese?"

ladytabitha: Oh oh oh -
ladytabitha: Get the jello brain mold!
ladytabitha: CHEESE BRAINS.
ladytabitha: Whoa.

moominmolly: CHEESE BRAINS.
moominmolly: Can you make cheese jello?
moominmolly: You can get unflavored gelatin.

ladytabitha: Uh...
ladytabitha: I don't know!

moominmolly: Only the cheese knows!

ladytabitha: Only if it's made with deer hoofies, rather than horse hoofies.

moominmolly: Right! Deer hoofies are inherently cheesier.

ladytabitha: "Who knows what dairy product will strike next?   The cheese powder knows!"

this was [livejournal.com profile] moominmolly's entire explanation to me as to why she was ordering dried cheese powder online. or for that matter what dried cheese powder might be.

I think your title for this post is wrong. Freakishly enough, this isn't completely different at all :)

That said, the raining cheese reminds me of the conversation a friend of mine had in Guatemala, when she asked a nice local guy if he thought it was going to egg. He looked at her strangely, thought about it for a moment, and then replied that, yes, indeed, those did look like RAIN clouds. (huevo (WAY-vo) vs. llueve (you-EH-vay))

I wonder if he thought she was asking to do something with his testicles, at first, or if he immediately went to thinking "ill-spoken gringo."

Either way, highly amusing.

That's brilliant! You could make cheese art that becomes dynamic when you add the ratses!

I promise we will stop (just) short of the nonconsensual cheese-involvement of others, and will therefore not actually create any genuine cheese weather patterns.

"it's raining cheese! halleluja, it's raining cheese! oh, jeez! ..."

(though in this case i suspect that it would be raining "cheese"...)

It's organic! But it's still cheez. Not even "cheese". Organic cheez.

OK, raining cheese and cheese pencils I could deal with, but organic cheez just breaks my brain. . .

Omigod. Thank you. I have been looking for this stuff forever. So much cheaper than making mac n cheese from those stingy little packets that come in boxes.

Yes! And, easier, than "frying flour and melting cheese by hand". I'm tempted. Depends on whether it's coloured with annato or cancer-number-5, though.
